Kernow Serenity Philosophy
I am passionate about sharing the powerful healing properties that can be experienced when working with energy.
Music and sound have been used as a therapeutic tool since ancient Greek and Egyptian times. Sound healing works on vibration. Everything is a vibration, including the human body. If part of our body is unwell or we have a ‘dis-ease’, our whole body feels out of sync. Tuning forks are used as a powerful tool, allowing precise frequencies to be placed on and around the body. Sound waves travel to the brain which then triggers relaxation within the nervous system. This calms and slows the brain waves into the healing and meditative states of Theta and Delta. As sound travels through the bodies energy field, they help to establish new patterns of balancing, replacing any detrimental ones of ill health. This vibrational shift occurs at a cellular level and encourages the body to return to its natural state of balance.
There are many benefits from Sound Therapy. Along with others, Sound Therapy may help with the following:
Deep relaxation
Insomnia decreased and sleep improved
Relief of tinnitus
May improve behaviour and communication in children (especially with ADHD, Autism and Asperger's)
Reduce anxiety and panic attacks
Relieve pain from migraine, back pain, arthritis or injury
Improve symptoms related to neurological disorders
Post-surgery recovery
Depression, low mood and mood swings
Menstrual and menopausal symptoms
IBS, gastritis and digestive problems
Coughs, colds, sore throat and chest infections
“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing, This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being. There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence Reiki treatments can help the body emotionally or spiritually. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.
Reiki treatment is a process that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery.
